Over the weekend, the Dow High Robotics Team competed at the Robotics State Championships at SVSU.

Dow's robot faced off against 39 of the best teams in the state.  Throughout the weekend, the robot got bent and broken, but was repaired and ready to play each match.  Dow pulled off wins vs multiple former World Champions while maintaining one of the fastest ball-scoring robots in the Division.  The team went 9-3 and finished the event in 7th place. This is the highest qualifying position Dow High has earned at the State Tournament.  Dow ended the weekend being recognized by Ford Motor Company with an award for our robot's autonomous operation and driver-assist features; and the team was a Quarterfinalist in the Division Playoffs.

At the end of the tournament, Dow is ranked in the top 15% of the State and has earned the right to once again represent Michigan in the 2019 World Championships held in Detroit two weeks from now.

This will be the team's 7th trip to the World Championships.

Congratulations to the Robotics Team and good luck at Worlds!
